MEET THE LEADERS
David Bartsch had more than 17 years experience in landscape architecture -- with firms in Boston, Seattle, and Paris, as well as running his own company in Boston and Nantucket – before becoming a partner in Bartsch & Radner Design. David has completed more than 150 residential projects ranging from simple terracing and creation of intimate spaces to master planning and implementation of grand schemes for entire properties. He has also worked on all phases of design and management on such varied projects as public parks, streetscapes, garden cemeteries, and assisted living facilities. His hallmarks are sustainable design, technical expertise, unique interpretations of space and form, and attention to detail and materials. Bartsch also has a particular interest and expertise in water features and swimming pool design. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Design from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and a Master's Degree in Landscape Architecture from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design. He is a registered landscape architect and a licensed construction supervisor in Massachusetts.
Michael Radner is a veteran of prominent landscape architectural firms in Boston and New York, and ran his own design firm for six years before becoming a partner in Bartsch & Radner Design. He has more than 15 years experience in design and management of projects ranging from $50,000 to $3 million in construction costs. He has been a design team leader on site improvement and master planning projects, coordinating civil engineers, soil scientists, traffic planners, and architects from a project's inception through construction. He also has extensive experience in project permitting and presentation to local authorities. Radner has particular interest in mixed-use design, traditional town planning, and environmentally sustainable design, and extensive experience in multifamily housing, retail environments, and institutional settings. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from Binghamton University and a Master's Degree in Landscape Architecture from SUNY College of Environ mental Science and Forestry. Radner is a registered landscape architect in Massachusetts, New York, and Connecticut and is CLARB certified.
