MEET THE LEADERS
Lifelong friends Alex Slive and Doug Hanna began their construction careers while college students in 1979, restoring and renovating buildings and condominiums on the waterfront and in the North End of Boston. Now, more than 25 years later, their company, S+H Construction, Inc., is one of the region’s premiere companies.
Doug Hanna, president of S+H Construction, is a graduate of Cambridge High and Latin School and attended the University of Massachusetts. He has a Massachusetts construction supervisor license and is OSHA certified. He is a member of the Builders Association of Greater Boston; the National Association of the Remodeling Industry; and the National Association of Home Builders. He also has worked extensively with the Cambridge Historical Commission. The father of three, he has served on the governmental affairs committee and as a member of the board of directors of Cambridge Youth Hockey. A history buff, he has traveled the world, including Europe, China, and India. He plays guitar and enjoys mountain biking.
